CST (COMMISSION SUPERIEURE TECHNIQUE DE L’IMAGE ET DU SON)

Descripción

The CST coordinates all the projectionists as well as the technical teams and service providers of the Cannes Film Festival. It organizes and supervises, for the Official Selection, nightly rehearsals with the directors and their teams. It also ensures a control presence at all screenings. The CST awards 4 prizes: The CST Prize for the Artist-Technician, the CST Prize for the Young Film Technician, the Jean Vivié Prize for the Best Editor and the Best Projectionist.

Objetivo

The CST is an association of film, television, audiovisual and multimedia technicians whose objective is to make known the technical progress likely to improve the quality of audiovisual expression. It develops a technological watch for the entire profession, provides technical assistance to many festivals and acts as an expert for many cinema and audiovisual actors in France and abroad.
