The plot of the series takes place in Eldorado, a fictional Brazilian state of the Midwest with epic proportions and views of the Pantanal, Cerrado and Amazon biomes. Local culture and customs reveal the identity of Eldorado's inhabitants: isolated indigenous people, wetlanders, Amazonian caboclos, riverine people, farmers, loggers, ranchers, agribusiness entrepreneurs and bureaucrats.
