    • Synopsis
    • Shin Shimomachi lived a poor, but happy, life with his sick mother until the day she ran into the street like a woman possessed - and was struck down by a car.

      Miserably depressed over her death, Shin attempted to jump from a bridge before being saved by Itsuki Takashiro.

      Itsuki revealed to Shin that his mother’s strange behavior and death were “because of Yo-kai.”

      Tae Arihoshi overheard their conversation, claiming that she could not only see Yo-kai, but could use Yo-kai powers to perform magic.

      Together, the three kids vow to take down the evil Yo-kai responsible for the stealing of souls and the killing of humans.

       
      With their goal in mind, they set off for Yamanba’s lair in search of a “Yo-kai Watch” believed to be able to summon Yo-kai.

      Using Tae’s magic, they defeat Yamanba and win the Yo-kai Watch, which Itsuki uses to summon Nekomata, Kappa, and Zashikiwarashi to find and defeat Tamamo-no-Mae - a Yo-kai devouring human souls disguised as a human.

      With the help of their three Yo-kai friends, they corner Tamamo-no-Mae only to learn that she has been working from the orders of Enma Daiou.
       

      Realizing that they must stop Enma Daiou, the young heroes travel to the Yo-kai realm where the “Enma Combat Contest” is underway.

      When the three of them sign up to compete, they are pitted in battle against Shien, the son of Enma Daiou, who has harnessed his deep hatred of humanity to transform himself into the Demon King Shien.
       

      If our heroes can only find the “goodness” hidden in Shien’s heart, they might be able to save him from his demon form.

      With this slim chance in mind, Itsuki plunges headlong into Shien’s demon body...

       
      Will Shin, Itsuki, and Tae rise to the challenge and take down the Demon King Shien?
