    • Synopsis
    • Siblings Magda and Enzo embark on a weekend trip to Helsinki in an attempt to mend their strained relationship. XXL evolves into an humorous and psychological road movie where the siblings encounters with characters and conversations about life, art, and existence. Blurring the lines between memories and the present, dreams and reality intertwine for the two drifters in Helsinki.
      The sibling pair embody a close relationship that has weakened over the years. Their nostalgic memories have built up expectations impossible to live up to. There is a discrepancy between life and the narrative of it. In the film, the protagonists are forced to realize that life is not a straight, forward movement but rather a slow inward spiral towards a core. Their sibling relationship will probably never be as functional as they wish, but closeness can manifest in various ways.
