    • Synopsis
    • MARLENE lives at her workplace taking care of TERESA, an elderly woman who is in a clear process of mental deterioration. The two women share an intimacy forced by the conditions of care. When MARLENE learns that her friend Eli has disappeared, she sneaks out at night and starts an investigation.

      At night, a part of the city does not rest. Marlene visits the places where her friend worked: a greengrocer´s, a sewing workshop, a nightclub, and a shopping center. She meets women tied to jobs that, like hers, pay little and demand too much. Jobs that break their bodies and empty their souls.

      She spends the days caring for the aging body of TERESA and the nights chasing the trail of her friend. Meanwhile, she learns the language of pigeons, communicates with them, and soon learns to fly.

      Her investigation leads her not only to discover the final fate of ELI but also to uncover in the other women the same potential that her own body possesses. Locked in dehumanizing jobs, each and every one of them has developed their gifts until they have turned them into superpowers. Those same bodies, always despised, have today managed to subvert everything and create beauty.
