    • Synopsis
    • Nathan Waterman, a smart but underachieving high­ school football player, was abandoned by
      his father eight years ago. Nathan struggles to support himself and his unemployed mom in an impoverished southern town. Every month Nathan receives a handwritten letter and a few bucks from his estranged father.

      Nathan’s life is upended when his father’s corpse surfaces and forensics indicate that he was
      shot and killed nearly a decade ago. Local law enforcement deem his father’s death a suicide
      and claim that Nathan forged his father's baffling letters. From rock bottom, Nathan takes on the mind­bending case himself - with the help of his high school sweetheart - deciphering one bizarre clue after another in search of a mysterious killer.

      Nathan’s solipsistic quest for revenge will lead to his arrest, expulsion and incarceration. Still,
      Nathan will risk his life to escape and hunt down his shadowy suspect… But some secrets are
      best left buried.
