- Synopsis
- Two filmmakers, a couple, travel the world while capturing images of unknown people. Their aim is to sweep away the layer of obviousness that coats reality. However, is it possible to film what is shown without hiding oneself? Is it possible to expose intimacies without projecting an obscene or condescending gaze?
  Reflection on their artistic and life project collapses before a reality that swings between obviousness and foolishness. No image succeeds in rending the veil of obviousness. Even so, the faces and everyday gestures of humankind stir profound empathy.
  On the other side of the images, the filmmakers’ own lives diverge along opposite paths. He dissolves on the fringes of reality to become an anomaly. She seeks to make the gaze a refuge for memory.
  In both cases, the wish to live is recognised as the force that pushes us to cross the night.
