- Life is a series of problems to be overcome…
  Hiroshi Nirasaki is in his mid-thirties, the prime of life, and he works for a securities company. He never knew his father. As a young boy his mother told him his father had died young. Married to an attractive woman from a modest family, they live together with his wife’s mother in hear ancestral home. With a good marriage, a beautiful wife, a son he dotes on and a good job at a prestigious company, Hiroshi’s life appears to be the dram of most Japanese businessmen or salarymen. Hiroshi even appears to have convinced himself that life is going very well, indeed. One evening, on this way home from the office, Hiroshi is accosted by a raggedy man who claims to be his father. Hiroshi is obviously surprised and confused but agrees to allow the man to stay with them for a while until things are sorted out.
