    • Synopsis
    • A convertible car enters the city of São Paulo bringing two people aboard. One, a blindman about 70 years old rides the back seat and a driver about 40 years old, owner of the car. They drive aimlessly through the streets of São Paulo. It’s the first time the old man return to São paulo after a thirty-year exile. He had left here Teresa, his wife, the assets of his broken industry, and his eyesight.
They spend one day and one night driving through the city and talking to people. The old man tries to see again the city of his golden years through the eyes of the driver and some passer-by. He looks for Teresa, but the closer he gets is to the ruins of his old house.
The driver instead is not sure why he came. He had his mind on having some fun, and as time goes by, he gets more and more mad with this useless search and the fun he is not finding. The old man, who came with his last thrust for life, finishes by growing disappointed and getting more weak as the day ends. At night, the driver finally declares his independence and unconsciously takes to his cruel role of executioner of that dying old man.
