    • Synopsis
    • British soldier Robert Black along with his beloved pregnant wife is brutally murdered by a gang of four fifteen-year-old boys (Jamie Rockwell, Ryder, Dylan and Gallagher) on his return home. In their final moments, a son, Luke is born. Orphaned, Luke is shipped from foster homes to reform school, bullied and prone to impulsive adult-like acts, plagued by insomnia and visions throughout his childhood of a previous life; that off his father Robert Black. His only connection is with a Social Worker, Claire, whom attempts to find out what's psychically wrong with him.
Now fifteen years old, Luke is a troubled loner, disappeared from the system, haunted by war hallucinations and his parents death, a jigsaw he's unable to make sense off. Luke finds himself returning back to the scene of the crime, the small town estate for one reason, revenge... After seeing one of the original teenage gang, Ryder, now a garage mechanic, a confused Luke impulsively murders him. At first distraught and sick over his actions, Luke begins to realize the true extent of what both he and his soldier father were capable off, he's now 'ready'.
When the three remaining gang members come together at the funeral of their murdered friend, old paranoias of the crime they've kept hidden for fifteen years resurface. Jamie Rockwell is now a national hero, England Football Captain, with socio-path tendencies believing he's untouchable. Gallagher, has remained in the same shit-hole town, a low level 'face/dealer'. Dylan, the one gang member whom feels guilt over the events, has moved away, happily married, now a policeman.
When Luke is tracked down by Social Worker, Claire, to be brought back into the system, he betrays the only friend he's ever had using Claire to get to Jamie Rockwell. To help his revenge Luke searches for his father's ex-army buddy, Beagle, whom is suffering from extreme Post- traumatic Stress Disorder. Convinced of Luke's visions (things only Beagle and Blacky would know) they hit the road to track down and kill the remaining gang members.
But during this journey in a game of cat mouse Luke's hallucinations of his father's army horrors and final days returning home get stronger as two stories of past and present collide. Focused, committed and utterly driven Luke becomes a force unto himself hunting down each gang member in retribution of violent punishment as soldier Robert Black reborn.
But when tragedy strikes due to Luke's actions he has no option but to hunt down the ringleader national hero Jamie Rockwell alone. Descending into madness as the final act of revenge closes in on him Luke must decide if it's better to walk away or become the very person you've hunted? But will the tortured soul of soldier Robert Black ever be able to leave Luke and rest without justice?
