    • Synopsis
    • Tin Cans is reminiscent of the Amblin era of kids movies and is written along the lines of films such as Paranorman, Goosebumps and Goonies.

The story is about Braedyn, a socially awkward, bullied 12 year old, who is putting his life back together after his parents’ divorce. Braedyn tries to reconnect with his one-time best friend and next door neighbour, Maddy, by taking her to the forest to light a rocket, but the launch goes comedically wrong and both Maddy and Braedyn are grounded for the entire weekend with no phones or Internet. Little do they know their launch wakes an ancient, evil spirit who is cursed to take one boy and one girl into the afterlife, and she has Braedyn and Maddy in her sights. Making the most of being grounded, Braedyn discovers a set of tin cans from when he was younger and uses them to talk to Maddy. When the spirit shows up outside their window, the tin cans become a lifeline as the two try to figure out how to survive the weekend, ultimately realizing that the only person who can help them is Jamie Travers, a local scientist who studies paranormal activity. Jamie Travers is on a quest of her own, tracking down the truth of a haunting she experienced decades earlier, and when she hears from Braedyn and Maddy, she realizes the two events are connected. As the group teams up to destroy the ghostly spirit once and for all, they must venture into the heart of a century-old nightmare, and the bonds of family and friendship may break forever.

Tins Cans is an exciting, spooky kid’s film about rediscovering the importance of friendship and family.
