- Synopsis
- In 1519, Portuguese Admiral Ferdinand Magellan risked his reputation by traveling the opposite direction taken by major explorers of his day and wound up proving that the earth was round. In 1997, the Schürmann family took to the sea in the wake of Ferdinand Magellan's trip and discovered unceasing wonders. Two major ocean voyages and their conquests in a single emotion-filled movie, with images coming from 44 different countries, covering 4 continents and 3 oceans. On the one hand the incredible stories of battles, mutinies, uncertainties and betrayals suffered by Ferdinand Magellan's expedition, and on the other the Schürmann family's quest for the echoes of their deeds in the time and places where Ferdinand Magellan once sailed.
