In this town men are in charge of the chores related to animals and harvest, all the community revolves around this labors, and death in this little town is as important and as sacred as life itself.

“you should never whisper to other people's dead, it brings consequences”. This is what adults always tell to the youngest. And Antonia has heard this since she was very young. Living isolated from all femininity without her mother that passed away several years ago, Antonia makes her way through this wild world living by the image of her father, Antonio, a strong and righteous man, and with her best friend, Diego by her side.

Antonia in the middle of her adolescence seeks and wants to be part of the group of guys, in which Diego is part of. They run clandestine horse races, and Antonia desperately wants to race along, but this won’t be easy, the group of guys are reluctant towards the idea, they doubt about Antonia’s abilities and they firmly believe that a woman wouldn’t be capable of horseback riding without a saddle, the way they do.
Antonia, determined to prove that she is even capable of doing something they wouldn’t ever consider doing, decides to whisper to Lisandro, the oldest man in the town that recently passed away. With this action she wins the approval of the guys, but innocently Antonia doesn’t realize that the chaos is about to come. From this moment on, it looks like a curse has fallen upon her town, as a consequence of her actions.

One of the town fishermen is found dead floating down the river, animals and people start to mysteriously disappear, and the fear begins to invade the town. The utopia in which Antonia once lived in, begins to fracture, she will seek to fix the damage she thinks she has caused. With determination she pushes the boundaries and starts to discover that the reality around her is rawer and more inexplicable than what she thinks of.

In this journey she will abandon her innocence along the way when she discovers a different type of beast, that so far, she had ignored.
