- From the heart of French political history comes the incredible but true story of a man who was the best among the worst.
  In 1920, freshly elected President of the French Republic, Paul Deschanel is a man unknown to the people and with innovative ideas such as abolition of death penalty and women's vote. But the cynicism of politics, bureaucratic games and the violence of the media soon knock him off track.
