- Synopsis
- Tenmasou is a long-established inn atop a mountain overlooking the sea, in a town called Mitsuse that exists between heaven and earth. The inn is run by Nozomi Tenma (Yuko Oshima), the proprietress. Her younger sister Kanae (Mugi Kadowaki) works as a dolphin trainer. Their mother Keiko (Shinobu Terajima) is the inn's elder proprietress, who is still resentful of her ex-husband that deserted his wife and family.
  
  One day, Tamae (Non) is brought to the inn by an enigmatic woman named Izuko (Ko Shibasaki). Tamae is Nozomi and Kanae's paternal half-sister and had been orphaned in the mortal world. She was run over by a truck and currently in a coma.
  
  "Refresh your soul at Temasou Inn and decide if you want to return to your body or move on to the next world," Izuko tells Tamae. But Tamae volunteers to work at the inn instead of staying there as a guest.
  
  What exactly is Mitsuse? And what is the true purpose of Tenmasou Inn?
