    • Synopsis
    • At a time when football went through one of the darkest moments in its history, it was common to find mercenaries purchasing and selling children, which traded as slaves to professional leagues in big cities. Thus the small towns were losing their best players, leaving the game to the mercy of speculators and opportunistic people.
      A football tyranny gradually established, giving priority to the successful outcome over the good game, corrupting the spirit of football regardless of its consequences.
      Bethany was subjugated under the power of Pilate, the sheriff and local goalkeeper, but that reality was being questioned since the big Easter match was approaching and they could not find anyone willing to face the conservative police team. The owner of the ball had no one to play with.
      In this context the three friends come from the city to the small village of Bethany in search of rest and good fishing, but quickly caught up in a brawl with police forces in the village bar. John, James and Thomas are captured and forced to accept the football match proposed by Pilate to regain their freedom.
      All seems lost, but the sudden appearance of a mysterious player named Jesus, will twist the process of the game and the fate of football in Bethany forever.
