    • World famous author Daphne du Marier's classic novel THE SCAPEGOAT is brought to the screen in a beautifully intricate and impeccably crafted thriller that's perfect for everyone who loved 'Gosford Park', 'Brideshead revisited' and 'Downton Abbey'.
Set in 1952, as England prepares for the Coronation, THE SCAPEGOAT tells the provocative story of two very different men who have one thing in common - a face. John Standing meets his doppelganger Johnny Spence and, after a drunken night, they swap lives. Standing is suddenly responsible for a beautiful young wife, two mistresses, a drug abusing mother, a precocious daughter, a crumbling stately home and a bankrupt business. Although he initially tries to escape, John finds himself irresistibly drawn into John's world with fatal consequences.
