  The 6-episode series “Wataha” is a thriller drama about a team of border guards who guard the eastern border of Poland in the wilderness of the Bieszczady mountains. The protagonist, captain Wiktor Rebrow (Leszek Lichota), loses his fiancée Ewa, colleagues and friends in a powerful blast. As the only survivor he finds himself fending off suspicions. After going through a phase of questioning his job, he comes back to solve the mystery of the bomb attack.
  “Rebrow is a life-long lover of the wild Bieszczady Mountains. His friends hold him in high esteem. As he attempts to solve the mystery, he sinks deep into the recesses of his soul”, says Leszek Lichota about his character.
  The series depicts a man’s world of self-control and cold calculation. Despite a strict code of conduct, the guards forge close relations with one another. Rebrow’s friend, captain Adam “Grzywa” Grzywaczewski (Bartłomiej Topa), supports him in his efforts. Grzywa is a mysterious figure too. “Grzywa is on the border that is both symbolic and real. He is dogged by dilemmas about who to help, who to protect, he also accumulates many difficult decisions in himself”, says Bartłomiej Topa of his character.
