A feature animated film based on Russian writer Nikolay Gogol's story "The Nose" and an opera by Dmitry Shestakovich.
The film can be defined as “polygenre”, as it is combine elements of drama, essay, biopic and tragedy, musical film and grotesque.

    • The film is based on two greatest creations of the Russian genius.
      A short story “The Nose” by Nikolai Gogol. And an Opera “The Nose” that was made in 1930 upon Gogol’s novel by composer Dmitri Shostakovich.
      The film is dedicated to pioneers, innovators in art. People who are ahead of their time. And, most importantly, they had fearlessness to go against the tide. At the cost of personal well-being, and often life.
      The main characters of the film are writers Nikolai Gogol and Mikhail Bulgakov, director Vsevolod Meyerhold and composer Dmitry Shostakovich.
