- Synopsis
- When industrial fishing began in 1990, employers took advantage of the skills of the Miskito divers in Nicaragua and hired lobster hunting. They were equipped with tanks to descend deeper and deeper. Divers started getting sick; out of the sea with the paralyzed body. Healers raised their voices to indicate that they had raised the anger of the mermaid. Little by little some divers lost the battle and were resigned to the punishment that the mermaid had commanded.
