Tokyo 1989 and the last of a dying breed of Samurai Masters, Yoshio Kochi, is training Japan’s Self Defence Force under the command of power mad General, Oda Hayashi, who has forced his way in to become Japan’s powerful Minister of Defence. Oda ousts Yoshio as Master of the SDF in favour of his son, Takeo, which ends in a confrontation that leaves the General’s son both injured and humiliated in front of his new students.

Yoshio flees Japan to set up a new life in England and there he meets the beautiful Sarah. They soon become pregnant with baby Grace and start an idyllic English life in the country. Tragedy strikes when Sarah falls ill and passes away, leaving Yoshio to bring up Grace. As the years pass by Yoshio realises that Grace has a natural gift and begins to train her in The Way.

One peaceful day at the farm whilst a 13-year-old Grace is at school, Yoshio gets a visit from Japanese intelligence. He is under suspicion of leading a coup to overthrow the Hayashi power under the code name ‘Supernova’. The intelligence team is lead by dangerous brothers Jin and Kane, under the instructions of a paranoid and still seething Takeo. Things quickly spiral out of control and an epic fight ensues, ending in Yoshio’s brutal murder. Following the conflict, Grace is forced to flee the carnage of her once idyllic home and heads off into a dangerous new world.

10 years later and Grace is living a humble and quiet life in London, but now she is ready to find out what happened to her father. In an effort to get to Japan, she cashes in a savings account Yoshio had wisely hidden away for her in the event of danger. Just as she is due to travel to Japan, she is brought in by MI5 who are working diplomatically with Oda to avert a coup d'état organised on British soil. They tell her that Yoshio is a terrorist on the run. Knowing this is not true, she agrees to help them MI5 uncover the truth about Supernova and clear her father’s name.

Kane is sent from Japan to oversee the investigation, who unbeknownst to everyone, is working with a manipulative Takeo to kill Grace and cover up the mistakes of the farm operation by leading them to believe that Yoshio is still a very real threat. But Grace has become a formidable force and has the unlikely protection of MI5 head, Robert Blake.

Grace’s bloody quest soon leads her to Japan, where she has no protection and, once again, only Bushido to turn to. As she becomes the warrior Yoshio trained her to be, she must fight for survival, justice and ultimately, the painful truth.
