    • Synopsis
    • Ken Sykora: jazz guitarist, radio broadcaster, writer, chef, teacher, spy. Modest, forgotten.

In the 30s, Ken fell in love with the music of Django Reinhardt. In the 50s, he inspired a generation of guitarists. By the late 60s he was one of Britain's most loved broadcasters. In the 70s, he vanished to run a hotel in an isolated part of Scotland. By the time of his death in 2006, he had been completely forgotten.
What he left behind was a vast archive of rare recordings, documents and memorabilia from which his fascinating life story was uncovered. Blending interviews, retro animation, music and images from his archive, the film tells the story of an unassuming man who dedicated his life to sharing his love of music, words, food and Django Reinhardt.

A true individual with an inspirational approach to life, this is the inventive and affectionate portrait of one of Britain's finest jazz guitarists.
