- Synopsis
- “The Legend of the Condor Heroes” by Louis Cha is undoubtedly the most popular wuxia novel ever published, which has been adapted into numerous films and television series since the fifties. Instead of fitting the hundreds of characters in the original novel into one film, THE LEGEND OF THE CONDOR HEROES: THE CADAVEROUS CLAWS re-imagines the story behind the Master of the Peach Blossom Isle and his disciple Twister, who is one of the most heinous but tragic antiheroes in Cha’s novels.
  
  A teenaged girl is taken to the Peach Blossom Isle to be trained under its dashing master. After picking up her martial arts skills speedily, she renames herself Twister. While her fellow apprentice Tempest becomes head of heels in love with her, she has her eyes on the Master himself. When this infatuation is inevitably spurned and the Master comes home with a pregnant wife after
  disappearing for two years, Twister is at the end of her tether. She steals the “9 Yin Manual” from the Master and elopes with Tempest.
  
  Twister and Tempest start falling in love and decide to get married. But they soon find themselves hunted down by everyone across the land for practicing the Cadaverous Claws on human skulls. On their wedding night, Tempest is killed by a young boy while Twister is blinded. Many years later, Twister arrives at Cloud Village to seek revenge, only to discover that the boy has grown up to be the boyfriend of her Master’s daughter. When she finally meets the Master again, who is under deadly attack, she decides to make the ultimate sacrifice to atone for her earlier betrayal.
