    • Synopsis
    • The sea routes on the Indian sea were a dangerous place in the 7th century. Arab traders in particular were regular victims of marauders—ruthless pirates who roamed the seas, attacking merchant ships in search of plunder. King Daher, the cruel ruler of North India, condoned the pirates’ plunder and shared the spoils with them.
      During the Umayyad Era, a plague spreads in the Arabian Peninsula. An Arab merchant ship is hit by the plague on its way to Ceylon Island and the crew decides to die at sea so as not to infect the people of the island. In recognition of their sacrifice, the ruler of Ceylon prepares a ship to help move the women and children of the merchants back to their home in the Arabian Peninsula. On their way home, their ship is attacked by marauders and the merchants’ families are abducted.
      When Mohammed Bin Alkassim, a 15-year-old with the heart of a knight, finds out about the abduction of the dead merchants’ families, he feels compelled to rescue them. With the help of an eccentric veteran sailor, Abu Elriyah, M. Alkassim and his friends set sail to save the abductees.
      A teenager who is growing into the man he will become, M. Alkassim not only gets his first taste of adventure, but also meets the love of his life, the Indian princess Lobna. However, M. Alkassim must still deal with overwhelming odds. Gandar, a conniving sorcerer, has come to King Daher with a prophecy regarding the King’s death at the hands of a young man named Mohammed. Gandar assures King Daher that he will kill Mohammed before the prophecy comes true. Using his supernatural powers, Gandar summons the jinn Bakhtou and Shamhoorish to fulfill his evil plans.
