    • Synopsis
    • In the late XIX century, the talented artist and Dominican doctor, Arturo Grullon, Grand Prize of Drawing at the Paris Exposition in 1900, tries to mediate and reconcile the differences the violent ancestral differences between two of his models, one is a Jew and the other Moroccan, while trying to portray them in his study of the Latin Quarter.
      When he finally manages to finish the drawings, the time comes when he decides to return to the Dominican Republic, he offer the two models a last supper reconciliation attempt. Dinner flows without major setbacks, but after goodbays and farewells, the two models gradually return to collide with themselves as they walk through the Parisian late hours.
      Both decide, once and for all, to settle the issue of who is more worthy, making a swimming contest across the Seine River. During the crossing, the Jew begins to drown and the Moor rescues him, sealing a long and close friendship, not devoided of conflict sometimes. Arturo Grullon, already acting as a surgeon on his island, keep track with the models of his famous drawings, through letters detailing their lives until 1942 .
