    • Synopsis
    • The film begins with Webb diving into the freezing water in Dover, armed only with
      his moustache, doses of brandy and wire wool swimming suit and concludes as he
      reaches the French coast. The film uses flashbacks to explore his motives and the
      character traits that drove him on as he braced high seas, jellyfish stings,
      horrendous fatigue and furious winds.
