    • Over the last twenty-five years, Hip Hop has grown into a global phenomenon. Its far-reaching influence has created a movement in music, and in life. The Good, The Bad and The Bling digs into the world of Hip Hop, exploring the music, and the culture, warts and all.

      Through the eyes of suburban youth, record executives, underground rappers and platinum artist such as Young Jeezy and Rick Ross, this film examines the issues that are at the forefront of the culture. From political consciousness and spirituality to the growing trends of violence and drugs, the film uses candid interviews from various players to define the ‘Bling Era of Hip-Hop”.

      The doc has interviews with highly opinionated and knowledgeable suburban teens, parents, teachers, inner-city youth and several major rap stars all weighing in on many diverse, topical and controversial issues in Hip-Hop, such as its constant negative stereotypes of women. The film also directly addresses major social, economic and political themes like the Second Iraq War, the Katrina Disaster and the highly divisive and explosive topic of homophobia in the Hip-Hop community.
