    • Synopsis
    • Steve Roper (Chad Tillner) has a problem: he doesn't want to die - and his apartment has the closed-in feeling of Death Row to make that problem too real. An hour later, when Det. Tom Burroughs (Ed Begley, Jr.) arrives on the crime scene to find a face-down corpse and all the markings of a gangland hit, the story looks pretty clear. Still, the detective goes through the motions. Picking up a silver dollar here, a photo there, he pieces together a classic love triangle: two men, one woman, a bag of money. And the detective starts to realize that he, too, is caught up in the mess: as a "sometimes crooked" cop working for nightclub owner Jerry Kilmer (Tony D’Arc) - as the wannabe protector of Jerry's girlfriend, Jean (Hillary Hesse) - and as the ex-fighter pilot/best friend of the man in the middle, Steve Roper. So now there's an unidentified corpse on the bed and a missing pile of dough and the detective has to figure out how to play it. Fast.
