    • Synopsis
    • Arisa and Anindya, who are both well in their late twenties, are two founders of two different fanbase communities in Indonesia. Both communities are more similar than they will ever admit although both screams rivalry to each other. Those similarities lie on their seniority as long term fans educating newbies, their frequent use of mixing Japanese words in their daily lives and their urgency to get concert tickets and to have the first fanboy member in each of their communities.
Overweight Corrine is an outcast in her boarding school in a small city in France but very much the It Girl in the virtual fangirls community. A virgin who never had a boyfriend yet discovering herself bit by bit as an asexual despite the adult rating of her well written Yaoi fanfictions. As invested as she is when her Hello Kitties jump out of her fanfictions and make love to each other in front of her as imagined by her readers, she later finds how her fluency in Japanese helps her to connect with her dying Alzheimer grandfather.
Beautiful Mariko is a Japanese married woman who brings her only son everywhere to her fangirling activities; that is to prove to her fellow fangirls that her One True Pairing amongst the Hello Kitty boys are dating each other for real. When reality overrides her fantasy, will reality lose its importance? Who are the idols they fall in love with, the one in their fantasy or the ones who live underneath those cute Hello Kitty costumes?
