    • Synopsis
    • La Curva portrays the twilight of Jorge Firpo, a legendary horse trainer at the Maroñas Racetrack in Uruguay, in a world where animals take center stage and people live in dreams. Over the course of his career, Firpo shaped generations of champions, but now, facing health issues, he must confront the inevitability of retirement. Only one person is capable of carrying on his legacy: José "Mansito" Varela, his disciple and right-hand man for over 20 years.
The documentary follows Jorge as he prepares for his final great challenge: the Gran Premio Ramírez, Uruguay's most prestigious horse racing event. Simultaneously, “Mansito” faces the challenge of taking on the responsibility for which he has been trained. Meanwhile, the director, grieving the loss of his father to suicide, finds in this world an unexpected source of solace and reflection. The film explores themes of legacy, dedication, and generational transition within a unique context.
