A documentary about the Guerrilla of Caparaó, that occurred in 1966/67 nearby the Bandeira´s Peak, one of Brazilians highest mountains located between Minas Gerais and Espirito Santo states. It was the first organized armed attempt against the Brazilian militar dictatorship, sponsored by Fidel Castro (Cuba) and organized by the politician Leonel Brizola from its exile in Montevideo. Through many testimonials of formers guerilla members, mostly ex-militaries expelled from the military forces, journalists and police officers, the film reveals step by step the “brazilian Sierra Maestra”, as defined by the poet Carlos Drummond de Andrade at the time.
