    • Synopsis
    • Hunting, like hula and aloha, is one of the pillars of being Hawaiian on the Big Island, and when young Jim throws a spear hitting in his mom by mistake who chokes and then bites his dad in a most vulnerable spot, killing them both, Jim blames his culture and wants to get the Hell off the island, but he’s a responsible dude, so before he takes off, he tries to save the family farm by working a small hunting business with his brother, Keoni.

They sucker tourists to come hunt with stories of a giant human eating pig. When one of these tourists goes missing, Keoni claims the monster pig is real. Jim calls BS, but when Keoni disappears too, Jim must act.

Along the way, Jim enlists a rag tag team: his ex-girlfriend biologist Rachel Wiseman, the tracker Waz, a couple of lesbian hunters: Buck and Nani, a Japanese tourist by the name of Oshii, and old Clarence Smith and his talking dogs.

But Clarence is no tour guide, he is obsessed with the monster pig and will risk everything — and everyone — to kill it.

As Jim’s crew is whittled down, torn apart by tusks, blown up, and buried alive in skin dissolving pig crap, Jim must confront his past, dig deep into ancestral Hawaiian wisdom, swallow the blood of wrath, hold the breath of patience, and throw that spear once more.
