In the small village named Anatovka, placed somewhere in Ukraine, where for a long time Russians, Ukrainians and Jewish people lived, lives a good-natured milkman Tevye. Tevye has a big family - sharp-tongued wife and 5 daughters who should marry. He is a keeper of family hearth and tradition adherent, accept life as it is. However sometimes he is not averse to dream...if only he could have better welfare conditions... But he has only wealth - his daughters, which he dreams to marry off making a good match - the only way to break out from poverty. This work of literature is essentially international, universal and national, spiritually close to public from the angle of all raised problems in it such as generation interdependence, parents and children relations which are basically independent of nationality, age and nations. It is also connected with the subject of blessing of life-life as it is, life as it goes... Life-asserting, cheerful and optimistic writing. And, of course, with the line of compassion and losses, grief and misfortune, misunderstanding and tiredness, nevertheless - It is blessing the life.
