- Synopsis
- High school hooligan Justin’s mundane, booze-filled life is forever changed when he meets Aubrey, the snarky girl of his undreamt dreams. She pushes him to see his penchant for angry music for what it is: an affinity for confrontational, bombastic art.
  
  Merely months from graduation, a college writing program suddenly becomes his shot at life beyond their tourist-trap town and the vicious cycles that trapped his parents. But to get in, Justin must break years of bad habits and write a personal essay convincing the college, Aubrey, his parents – and himself – that he’s more than a teenage dirtbag.
