    • Synopsis
    • Billy is a lover of women, booze, and country western music. He hates authority, hates his job, and work in general. He's a small time hustler who finds a quick and easy way to make money by having sex with an older woman, essentially becoming her private gigolo. He quites his job, discovering a new sense of freedom.
Billy soon meets Tammy, a teenage girl eager to escape her family situation at home. Their attraction is immediate and chemistry undeniable. They let themselves fall into an ideal storybook romance, acting out the roles of husband and wife. But the relationship starts to weigh heavy on Billy as this newfound "normalcy" starts impeding on his ability to make money as a gigolo, making it difficult to take care of Tammy. This tension, added with their yearning to shut the world out of their romance and create their own universe, drives the young couple out of the city and into the country where they hope to build the dream life they are seeking together.
After settling into their new home in a small Tennessee town, they're faced with the cold realities of adult life, of Tammy's youthful restlessness and Billy's jealousy of other men. Two other potential lovers threaten to dismantle all the walls they've put up to protect their precious affair and the couple find themselves in a struggle to make sense of it all.
