    • Synopsis
    • Subterfuge is a riveting action/drama written Spencer Jay Kim, Allen Kellogg and John Phillips. In the beginning we enter the life of RYAN CUTLIP who is finishing his doctorate in structural engineering at a Michigan University and is living the life of an average college student with average college student problems. His girl problems arrive when he meets SARAH GIFFORD, a beautiful grad student in his program. They hit it off immediately and it seems that they may just live happily ever after, but Ryan’s life soon spins out of control when his friend and mentor, DR. RONALD KNEPPER is found murdered in the lab. After questioning Dr. Knepper’s assistant, LAURA, police begin to suspect Ryan and he is soon arrested by Detective FRANK RICHTER.
Saddened by his father figures demise and shocked by his own arrest, Ryan is even more shocked when he is bailed out of jail by an unknown source who also leaves him a note that reads, “TRUST NO ONE”. Ryan has no idea how true of a statement that is.
Ryan decides to break into the lab to find the answers himself. In doing so he discovers Sarah snooping through the professor’s computer. Ryan immediately demands answers but their conversation is short lived when Laura walks into the lab, guns blazing. Laura reveals herself as a Russian spy and through the gunfire, Ryan hears Sarah and Laura yelling at each other. It turns out that the two have quite a past together. The fight is broken up when men in suits begin to fire at both parties. Sarah and Ryan escape with Dr. Knepper’s hard drive and take shelter in a remote log cabin. There, Ryan learns that Sarah is really a CIA agent trying to recover information about an underwater drilling platform that Knepper invented and Ryan helped him with. She needs his help to recover the information.
More guests arrive to the party, fully armed, in the form of the Chinese and Federal Agents. But is everyone who they say they are? And is Sarah telling the truth?
