    • Synopsis
    • Steve Balderson's STUCK! has the feeling of old teleplays on Playhouse 90. Kinescope look, camera shooting the women from odd angles. Even the walls are watching them. Claustrophobic. Like the camera is sometimes way too close to the actors. The action of the movie is simply the need these women have to create different lives within their cages. The tension that exists between those watching and those being watched. The Women: tailored dresses, high & pointy tits, tiny belts at the waist, collar flipped up, hem at mid calf, black polished high heels, cigarettes constantly lit or being lighted (yes, even in the shower).
      Main Characters:
DAISY - a beautiful, bright eyed woman. Innocent but sexy, great figure. She has been wrongly accused of killing her mother.
MEME - a middle aged good-time-girl. She has been hardened by too many years in prison. But under the gruffness and mind games, there is a heart.
PRINCESS - a small bit of a woman, a remnant. Guilty or innocent, she is in prison and the experience has made her all the way broken. Meme has taken Princess as her girlfriend. Princess will speak for Meme. Sometimes, Princess will sing songs in the dark quiet of the prison nights.
DUTCH - a masculine woman. Sort of a moll mixed with a gangster. Lonely and very in love with Daisy.
ESTHER - a brittle, bitter woman who has discovered the Bible in prison and now uses sin as ammunition against the other inmates. She has loved too much and too hard which leads her to be defensive and holier-than-thou. She carries a small white bible.
GUARD - a tall, dark Amazon woman. A real bitch with a huge chip on her shoulder.
