Set in Warsaw, its the story of Zosia, 30 years old girl who after working on a film set gets hit by lighting and comes home to discover her boyfriend with another woman. Trying to find meaning in her life she sets on a course to meet with all six of her former boyfriends order to find out if she has forgotten about her true love of her life and to find that lucky nr 7. Sophie goes on a journey which leads her all over the city and even all the way to eating oranges in Tel Aviv with Israeli writer Etgar Keret. Over the film she discovers that she doesn't need a lucky nr7 boyfriend to make her happy. Along the film she works out some pain full memories, becomes more mature in her friendships and relation with her father. She decides to go back to film making. Summertime empty Warsaw becomes a character in the film as well. Shot in popular and trendy clubs and cafes the film was lauded for showing Warsaw through the eyes of Poland’s young generation. With a soundtrack that highlights the best that the alternative Polish music scene has to offer, Sophie Seeks Seven gives the world a glimpse of modern day Warsaw. Weronika Migoń is one of just a hadfull of female directors in Poland who was achieved box office success with a film that presents a strong feminist view point with most of the main characters in the film all being female. Oscar nominee Agnieszka Holland served as creative consultant on the project.
