    • Alexandra is a senior in the fourth year of English language studies. She took a bank loan to buy an apartment through the Republic Housing Stock, and she intends to pay back the loan by earning the extra money with prostitution. She has placed an ad under the code name "Slovenian Girl". Slovenia is currently presiding the EU, so Ljubljana is frequently visited by foreigners. Alexandra goes to a hotel room to meet with a client, some foreign politician. However, before they even get intimate, the politician suffers a stroke. The media blow up the story and reveal that a mysterious "Slovenian" was the last person to have seen him alive.
Alexandra is cornered: the criminal police are after her, the bank is threatening to foreclose on the mortgage for her home, two local pimps are trying to get hold of her, and last but not least, she has a few more exams to pass... However, what worries her most is that her father may find out what she really does for living...
Parallel to Alexandra's story is a story of her father, who lives in a small town and has no idea what his daughter's life in Ljubljana really looks like. He used to play in a rock band and was considered one of the coolest blokes in his hometown. However, his rock band had not met expectations and stayed pretty much local; he got divorced and became depressive and embittered. He works in a local factory and plans to reunite his band. Band members are now grey haired guys in their fifties; they get together and play. As they practice, one can tell that they used to be good musicians.
Both stories round up together eventually. Alexandra completes her studies and returns to her hometown. Her father's rock band has the first concert in a local club; among other pieces, they play also "Bobby Brown" of Frank Zappa.
