Dawan is an average teenage girl growing up in a small Southeast Asian village. She dreams of more than her small town and traditional way of life can offer. One day everything is turned upside down when the Landlord tells her father he must pay ‘new taxes’ or they will lose their home. With the help of some clever animal friends and her reluctant brother, Kai, Dawan discovers there is an ancient Decree hidden in a lost temple that proves the villagers, and not the wicked Landlord, are the real owners of the land. She must undertake a dangerous journey in order to find the Decree, save the village and show that she’s able to make her dreams come true.
