      Tirrenia, Tuscany, Italy. 1942. Inspired by his father’s job, processing films for the Film Studios, Stefano (16) falls in love with capturing the world that surrounds him with his 8mm camera. His creativity and passion affects the daughter of a famous jewish producer, Sara, and sparkles their love story. When the Nazi’s retreat passes through his town, Stefano’s world is shuttered. His father is killed and Sara must leave and hide. Now it’s Stefano who’s running the lab for the Nazi’s need to develop their war footage. Through the language of images he will established a bond with a nazi officer that, as civilian, used to be a filmmaker. When the local resistance faction discovers his access to the the Nazi camp, they want to use Stefano to strike against them. But Stefano has also another goal, help Sara escape from the hiding and leave the country. In a desperate a dramatic climax, all the stories will be connected to a few feet of shredded film.
