    • Synopsis
    • A satirical present-day science fiction portrait d’époque with elements of grown-up comedy. A family of aliens, resembling a black crystal cupboard, crash-land on Earth. In their world, they are regular middle-class tourists on vacation, when mid-route, their spaceship breaks down. Instead of a grand intergalactic meeting of civilizations, they proceed to encounter similar middle-class humans who similarly don’t care about protocols, science and politics. The locals do their best to interact and accommodate the guests and to get them back home, without reporting to authorities… the NSAs of the world that start to suspect the weird stuff. Despite the government agents, the under-qualified earthlings manage to FedEx the cupboard to Geneva, in Switzerland, where the aliens — who struggle through their own internal family conflicts and barely remember the school lessons in science and DIY — manage to use the CERN collider to send out a tiny SOS message to the intergalactic 911. They get picked up and their new human friends are invited to visit back for a local crystal beer or two.
