    • Synopsis
    • Researches of Betty, a french anthropologist, focus on Dakar-Djibouti Mission memory. In between IFAN Muséum in Dakar and Musée de l’Homme in Paris, the young woman improves some methods to closely achieve her goal : accuracy of scientific discourse. Michel Leiris’ diary, «  Ghost Africa », that he wrote during this mission, becomes the obsession of the researcher. Betty tries to find a way to find issues that could refer to national and international relations between people through objects and archives destiny.

This film tends to address political issues as well as scientific and artistic narratives, which echoes still inform national and international relations in France today. One of the challenges of it is to identify the sites and the modes of production of knowledge as places of complete subjectivity as opposed to their supposedly objective methods of survey and classification.
