This story is dedicated to all those innocent women who fell prey to sati ritual, practiced till early 20th century, requiring a widow to immolate herself on the pyre of her dead spouse.

- Synopsis
- This fictional story dates back to the early 19th century when the Peshwa period was waning and the dominance of the East India Company was almost established in Maharashtra, India.
  
  This is a small attempt to bring to the world the suffering of sati, which takes us through the bygone era, while depicting intriguing story of a life of Satyabhama, an orphan girl, who gets married with an old aristocrat at her adolescence but finds herself in the clutches of horrendous Sati ritual on demise of her spouse. This is also a story of her brother Mahadev, who stands against the society opposing the sati ritual
