    • Synopsis
    • "Encounters with Cinema" first edition in Santa Elena:
Four workshops, four short films, one full-length feature film “Santa Elena by Bus”, a film that narrates myths, legends and traditions of a colorful and multi-ethnic province rich in culture and diversity.

The story of a bus driver leads the plot. While picking up passengers on the first stop of the day, Severino, the bus driver, gets a phone call from his wife. She is just about ready to give birth to their first son, but since Severino has a job to do, he asks his mother in law to take his wife to the hospital.

Along the way, Severino will pick up and drop off the people that make up these three parallel stories: a love encounter after a hard life and many years of a mysterious separation; death on the hands of young people that make the wrong decisions; and a traditional music band heading for their last concert for a strange audience. With all stories set in this trip, and aided by magical and beautiful scenery, we will discover in an hour and half that, at the end of the day, love is all that remains.
