Dozens of teenagers live in the Buddhist temples of Luang Prabang. One of these boys reads the Bardo Thödol to an old woman, a text that should be read to people before they die, because it serves as a guide to orient themselves in the afterlife. The old woman dies and we accompany her spirit through a sensory journey until it is reincarnated in its next body: a goat from a coastal village in Tanzania, where it will grow up accompanied by a family of fishermen.
