    • Synopsis
    • Sambar Salsa is about cross-cultural relationships, an Indian boy meeting and falling in love with a Spanish girl. Parental objections do not dissuade them from deciding to tie the nuptial knot. A series of situations threatens to seriously thwart the young couple's plans.
When Surya returns home from university with his fiancee Sasha, a Spanish girl, and introduces her to his parents Om Suri and Alamelu. All of Alamelu's maternal possessiveness surfaces and she asks herself how could she ever give her son away to a stranger and a foreign stranger at that.
Om Suri, meanwhile succumbs to Sasha's charm; an indefinable rapport develops between the two and both find much in common. Alamelu is alarmed at their growing familiarity and is convinced that the "gypsy" has entered their sanctum with a game plan in mind - first to seduce the son and then to lure the father...with her fair eyes ultimately focused on the family fortune!
"Does Surya win Sasha?" What is Alamelu's angst over the relationship? How does Om Suri stand tall and make a turnaround? Most of all, who is the third person looming larger than life in this struggle between the two families?
