    • Synopsis
    • Documentary "Roses Trilogy by Petra Terzi".

1, "Dirty Roses" is a humanitarian documentary and deals with the power of the soul of the disabled persons and individuals or families who came from the Arab world in Greece as war or economic or political refugees. Two extreme marginalized groups with the most helpless victims, the one of the countries of the third world with racial and ethnic minorities, and the second one is often socially degraded. Their common field is the hope, their love to dream and their struggle to live in freedom, the triptych of the motto "that which does not kill us makes us stronger"!
The heroes of the short film, Nana the Greek handicapped girl, Hassan the red roses' seller and Mirage an Iranian refugee, are the real characters and not professional actors. Several Afghani people who live with their children in a Greek camp appear in the film.
"Dirty Roses" is the first film from the documentary "Roses Trilogy by Petra Terzi".

      2. "Thornless Roses"
With the desire to film refugees and their children from single-parent families, I used this concept to film the children playing and engaging in artistic activities. I met Mahmoud Abdel Rasul, a second-generation child from Sudan. Mahmoud completely interrupted his life as a doctor to volunteer all his time to organizing artistic and athletic activities as well as Greek language lessons for refugees and their children to better integrate them into Greek society.
"Thornless Roses" is the second film of the documentary "Roses Trilogy by Petra Terzi" concerning immigrants, refugees, minorities and sensitive groups .

      3. "Rainbow Roses":
2018, Greece. Many organizations and individuals continue the volunteer efforts to help refugees become part of Greek urban life and to act in coexistence and harmony in the near future. Dr Mahmoud Abdel Rasul, the son of immigrants from Sudan, dreams that all inhabitants of Greece, of all colors of the rainbow, can embrace each other in Peace.
"Rainbow Roses" is the third film from the Documentary "Roses Trilogy by Petra Terzi".

      Director's note:
The message I want to convey in this documentary trilogy film is that values and feelings such as friendship, cooperation, contribution, gratitude and love for all human beings are all part of every child of refugees, immigrants and citizens in today's Greece. These virtues are the necessary ingredients for accepting diversity, integration, peaceful coexistence and survival. The nucleus of world peace is allowing these these virtues, without any obstacles (“thorns”), to empower children.
