    • Synopsis
    • Since Kwan-Ho (Charmaine Sheh) and Szeto Lai-Sun (Steven Ma) migrated to the US after marriage, Man-Cho worried about Aunty Q living alone in Macau and decided to end the business in Zhongshan and move back to home town, bringing along his business partner Wing and Wing’s daughter Tin-Tin. Tin-Tin follows Man-Cho like a shadow, while her vivacity and boyishness reminded him of Kwan-Ho’s childhood.

Aunty Q (Nancy Sit) decided to marry her first love Mao (Law Kar-Ying) at Man-Cho’s newly-opened Portuguese restaurant on the handover of Macau in 1999. Kam-Sing (Michael Tong), who had made his name as a casino tycoon, came congratulating her, but was arrested on illegal operation of peripheral casino and sentenced to seven years.

Time flies by. Wing’s ex-wife suddenly turns up in Macau one day to claim Tin-Tin’s custody. Wing knows he has no chance of winning in court, so he bitterly surrenders to her demand. Before leaving Macau, Tin-Tin proclaims she will return as the bride of Man-Cho, which Man-Cho only sees it as a child’s babble.

One day, Man-Cho receives the news that Lai-Sun has died in a car accident, and soon Kwan-Ho returns to Macau solitarily. She is always reticent and occupied by thoughts, so her friends decide to stage a scene to help her extricate from grief and be her true self with ardent in life and family.

A few years later, Kam-Sing is released and becomes the second chef at Man-Cho’s restaurant. He takes the courage and express his prolonged affection for Kwan-Ho on his birthday, but Kwan-Ho only sees him as a friend and declines his courtship. Kam-Sing has disappeared since then.

In an afternoon a few years later, Tin-Tin returns and announces to be marrying Man-Cho. Seeing Man-Cho so close to someone else gives Kwan-Ho heart aches and uneasiness. At the same time, Kam-Sing has also returned to Macau. He is now a senior executive of a multinational corporate, competing for a series of new real estate projects in developing districts. They are happy for his return in doing what he does best.

After many years of hardship, Man-Cho, Kwan-Ho, Kam-Sing and Aunty Q have experienced the joys and sorrows of life. Most important is that they are still together, striving, sharing and rejoicing. Out of the blue, Man-Cho learns that his cancer is in the terminal stage with less than half year to live…
