- Synopsis
- RED CARPET is a tragicomedy about a stage-struck, third-rate Iranian actor and playwright , who is madly fond of Steven Spielberg and he decides to go to Cannes Film Festival 2013 to meet Spielberg and ask him to help him become famous. He has also written a comedy scenario for Woody Allen, he knows Woody Allen is in Cannes aswell, and he believes if Woody Allen likes his Scenario, he would be an international and famous film-maker. He gets the Schengen visa, to buy Iranian gifts ( pistachios and Saffron for Spielberg ) and fly to Cannes. This is his first trip abroad;, he doesn’t know English, he doesn’t know anybody but nevertheless he struggles to find a way to THE RED CARPET.
